Most monitoring tools are built for teams you don't have.
Enterprise infrastructure tooling is complex to configure, expensive at scale, and designed for engineers who want granular control over every data point. For a SaaS founder or a digital agency managing twenty client sites, that’s overkill. We needed something different. We looked. We didn’t find it. So we built it.
01.
Built for engineers, not founders
Most tools assume you have a DevOps team. Setup is complex, dashboards are overwhelming, and configuration takes days.
02.
Priced for enterprise
Monitoring tools that do everything charge like it. Small teams and agencies pay for capacity they’ll never use.
03.
Scattered across tools
Uptime in one place. SSL somewhere else. DNS checked manually. Domain renewals missed entirely. It shouldn’t be this fragmented.
What Sentinel monitors
Four checks. Continuous. No noise.
Sentinel runs checks around the clock and notifies you the moment something changes – via email, SMS, phone call, Slack, Microsoft Teams, or Discord.
Uptime
HTTP checks that detect the moment a service goes down, with response time tracking on every check.
SSL Certificates
Expiry and validity monitoring with advance alerts so certificates never lapse silently.
DNS
Configuration checks that catch record changes before they cause incidents downstream.
Domain Expiry
Registration expiry monitoring so renewals never get missed on a busy week.
The team
A product built by Elbah Group.
Sentinel is built and maintained by Elbah Group Limited – a UK-based software company. No account managers, no third-party contractors. The people who built it are the people running it.
Sentinel is a product of Elbah Group Limited – a UK-based software company founded in 2023 by Kyle Eastham and Ben Vernazza. Both spent years building and shipping products for clients before turning their attention to problems they kept running into themselves.
Kyle brings deep experience in agency delivery: understanding what teams actually need when something breaks, and what gets in the way of fixing it fast. Ben focuses on the technical side – API development, server architecture, and how a product holds up in production. Between them, they’ve covered both sides of the same frustration: finding out too late that something went wrong.
Sentinel is what they built to fix it.
"Why aren't we doing this for ourselves?"
Elbah Group was founded in 2023 when Ben and Kyle asked a question that had been obvious for a while. Both had spent years shipping products and managing infrastructure for others. Sentinel launched in 2026 – built entirely in-house, to the same standards they’d hold any client work.
